That Are Available Nail Art

There are many different styles of nail art as well as many different ways to apply it. It comes in many forms from stickers to free-handing and is all designed to give an appealing appearance to the fingernails. No matter what the form, it all makes a visual impact on those who see it and allows those who wear it a small bit of self expression. Here is a quick look into what it takes to achieve some of these fingernail looks.
There are many who love to improve the appearance of their hands with nail art. One of the most fascinating forms is freehand. In this process the artist uses a pen or brush to create freehand designed nail art on the client. The reason that this particular form is so fascinating is due to how much artistic ability it requires along with a high level of concentration and the ability to work in a very small space.
The types of images that are created using free-hand nail art vary depending on the artist, their abilities, and what the client wants. There are very simple designs that can be free-handed as well as images that are much more complex. The more complexities that there are to the image, the more talent it will take from the artist to properly create it on the hand of the client.
There is also nail art that is manufactured and can be applied by a person in their own home or at a salon. This type comes in the form of stickers and stencils. The stickers can be applied both at the salon and in-home. They are fairly inexpensive and add a nice little flare to the tips of the fingers. The stencils, on the other hand, are usually used at the salon by artists who use an airbrush apply them. Both of these are great ways to add a little glam to your hands, but they don't take quite as much artistic ability as free-handing does.
Some of the other types of things that are used as nail art are small rhinestones and small gems, little pieces of jewelry, and many other things that could be rather unexpected. Many people use an adhesive to attach small gems to their fingernails in order to create a bit of a sparkle and attract attention to the fact that they have put some time into achieving a certain look on their fingernails. There are even some who decorate the tips of their fingers by piercing the nails and putting small rings through them. This is a rather unique way to use the fingernails to express creativity.

Mixture to Look Great and Stay Healthy Nail Art

One of the latest and greatest inventions in the world of nail art and nail care (as I'm sure you all know) is the invention of Acrylic Nails. Acrylic nails are artificial nails that look and feel just like natural nails. These are nails designed in laboratory that can be crafted and adhered to your natural growing nails.
Through mixing a powder and a specific liquid then setting into a mold, scientist can create acrylic nails of all shapes and sizes. The liquid that is most healthy and does the least damage to the skin is a liquid called Ethyl Metacrylate (EMA). This is a fairly expensive liquid but is well worth it when considering the beneficial effects to your hands and skin.
There are however different verities of the mixture on the market and some are less healthy than others. Methyl Methacrylate or MMA is a cheaper option, but it is known to have certain harmful effects. The only reason you would use it is because of its cheaper cost. Some side effects of this acrylic nail mixture can include skin reactions and deformities in natural nail growth.
Because of this risk, it's usually a better option to choose an acrylic nail mixture such as Ethyl Metacrylate, even if it costs a little more. It is common practice to treat artificially created nails the same as one would treat natural nails as mistreatment can also cause damaging effects to ones hands and skin.

Enhancing Your Nail Art

Gel nails
Gel nails, or gel systems as they are also called, are a newer type of nail enhancement that are created by applying layers of resin to the nail; these layers combine and harden to form a solid nail. Depending on the formula a particular nail technician uses, nails are hardened with an ultraviolet curing light or under ordinary room lighting. Gel nails are among the most natural-looking of the nail enhancements - something to keep in mind if you want nails that look like your own, only longer and stronger.
Using nail tips
Nail tips are one of the oldest forms of nail enhancements. Preformed plastic nail shapes are applied to the natural nail plate with nail glue. Sometimes they cover the nail from the cuticle to the end, but more frequently they are applied midway down the nail plate. To get a smoother finish, some nail techs may apply acrylics, gel, or wraps over either the natural "untipped" nail or both the natural nail and the newly affixed nail tip. The entire shape is then sanded and filed into the length and shape you want.
Nail art
Perhaps you're a showy type, someone who loves to express herself through her appearance. For you, a shockingly bright, trendy-colored nail isn't enough. You want to set yourself apart from the manicured crowd. From the sound of it, you are a nail art kind of gal. Nail art is not so much a way to augment nails' length as it is a way to enhance their appearance.
There are several ways you can dress up nails. Decals - much like the decals you got from boxes of sugared cereal, and stuck on windows or your own body as a kid - are an easy way to add whimsy to your nails. Most nail salons have a selection of seasonal (jack o'lanterns, snowflakes) as well as standard (roses, stars) designs. These are embedded in slightly sticky nail color. When nail color is dry, a swipe of top coat keeps decals secure.

Nail Art Extensions

Many nail biters are hitting the beauty salons in order to cover their bad habit and have gorgeous nails. Well manicured nails looks great, they look professional and look perfect for every event. Nails can often get dirty, hands get dry and they need looked after, we are after all very hard wearing on hands so its important to take care of them. For those of us that are not blessed with strong nails or can not seem to kick the habit of biting then nail extensions are a great solution.
There are many different types of nail extensions available therefore its important to know what ones you want, if you are unsure or want to discuss the benefits of each further then ask your nail technician. Below is a list of some of the different types on offer at most reputable salons;
- Gel nails; The gel nail extensions are made from a coloured gel which easily moulds to your fingernails. Using ultra violet light the gel is cured onto the nail and will then harden so that the don't slip. You will require nail maintenance every two to three weeks in order to keep up with nail growth.
- Acrylic nails; An acrylic nail extension is formed by using acrylic powder and creating a paste, once the paste is created it is put onto over the top of the nail. Acrylic nail extensions are quite tricky to apply and will require quite a bit of looking after. They are however very strong and will be very durable if maintained every two to three weeks.
- Fibreglass nails; Fibreglass nail extensions are made by using fibreglass cloth which is wrapped around a gel or plastic mould. Fibreglass nail extensions are very durable however will feel a lot thinner than acrylic or gel nail extensions.
In order to pick which suit you and your lifestyle then you must consider their durability. If you do quite a lot of manual work then you will want nail extensions which are very strong however are also flexible such as the gel extensions. For a more natural finish to your nails then you may want to pick a style that blends into your nail and choose a subtle finish such as a French polish.
For people that want to go more glam why not try some nail gems or bright colour; many nail technicians will offer lots of trendy and fun styles of nail art. These are perfect for a night out or a glitzy event and are sure to attract plenty of attention. If you fancy a change or something sparkly then ask the nail technician what they can do, you are sure to find something that you love!
